Traveling to Florence, Italy proved to be a highlight of our recent European vacation. We were able to spend 4 days exploring the sights, sounds and tastes of this Renaissance city. In order to maximize our sightseeing experiences we chose some special modes of transportation that saved us from long hours of walking aimlessly around the narrow city streets.
We signed up for bike rides and Florence Segway tours that were affordable and fun. This gave us a chance to see such sights as the Piazza della Signoria, Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Both of these tours were relaxing ways to view the landmarks and architecture. The fresh air and unhurried pace made it possible for us to gain a deep understanding and love for the history and ambience of Florence. I would highly recommend that you consider at least trying the Segway tour on your next visit. This is probably the fastest and most exhilarating way for any guest to travel about the city streets.
